📌 Position: Computational Post-Doctoral Researcher

We’re diving deep into the complexity of structural variants and challenging genomic regions to uncover their roles in clinical phenotypes and disease. 📍 Location:
Human Genome Sequencing Center, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas

🧪 Research Focus:
Development of novel methods to study complex variants or regions of the genome.
Projects are primarily focused on human samples but may also include non-human species.

Potential topics include:

  • Germline or mosaic detection of structural variants and tandem repeats

  • Studying the impact of SVs on RNA, methylation, and complex phenotypes

  • Population-scale genomics research with medical records

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Academic Background:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field

  • Dissertation related to Computational Biology

Technical Skills:

  • Strong programming and analytical skills

  • Experience with sequencing data analysis

Research Experience:

  • At least two first-author publications in English

  • Strong written communication skills in English
